Welcome to your sleep and dream journal. This journal is your canvas to aid you in exploring your sleep and dreams. Available as hardcover or paperpack.

This journal is based on the Your Sleep Sweet Spot book and the goal is to find your ideal most restorative sleep with the use of rituals. All pages and forms will make it possible for you to explore your sleep and dreams regardless of whether you are a day person, night person, or shift sleeper. You don’t need to read the book to use the journal but it is very helpful to do so. In the book, I explain that:

Your Sleep Sweet Spot is a sleep routine, ritual, space design, schedule, and philosophy that implements bio-individuality. It provides you the best, most restorative sleep, optimal restoration, balance, and vital energy for your unique sleep cycle—nocturnal, diurnal, or alternative shift sleeper. It considers your specific physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual needs. It also considers environmental, technological advances, and global interconnection, using what works and upgrading it to adjust with ongoing changes.
To find your sweet sleep spot, you need to know more about what sleep and dreams are, why you need them, and how to design your own sleep life with the right information and tools. This journal is one of those tools.
The three goals are to:

Help you understand your specific sleep needs by exploring your relationship to sleep.

Work with your dreams which are powerful messengers, and if you don’t remember them perhaps you’ll begin to start remembering. And, find and maintain your specific sleep/dream sweet spot to get the restorative sleep you need that provide insight and aid in overall healing and creative insight.

There are many ways you use this journal. Here are some ideas.

  • Use the Sleep Diary to track your current sleep cycle. I have provided 3 for you to choose from and use.
  • Uncover your current sleep habits and routine
  • Discover and create your individualized and most effective sleep ritual that will provide you with healing and better energy when you are awake and overall.
  • Work with your dream whether you are just starting to remember them or are a rich and lucid dreamer. Explore and use the power of your dreams.
  • Express your concerns, worries, or things you need to resolve
  • Anything else you wish

To help you make your experience even more special, here are a few tips to consider as you begin your journal.

  • On the first page or two of the journal, make a note of why you’re creating the journal. Include the date and any inspirational thoughts, quotes, or photos you want to express on any of the pages.
  • Add photos, ticket stubs, receipts, poems, old notes, and more to your journal.
  • When journaling, dig deep into your subconscious. Document not only your immediate thoughts but also your feelings behind them. The more detail you can give, the more special your journal will be.
  • You can use any of the sleep diaries
  • You can use the Environment Assessment Sleep Tool to evaluate bedtime basis related to your physical space.
  • You can use the Nightmare Exposure tool to address and rewrite and re-script frightening dreams and experiences.

While you may want to journal every day before or after your bedtime, if you only have time to write one or two times a week, that’s okay. Journaling can be done in a variety of ways, from casual writing to structured styles with categories, checklists, and more.
