  • What is Holistic and Spiritual Space Design

Creating a spiritual space within our homes or wherever we spend a significant of time in is an endeavor that involves various disciplines and practices. By integrating traditional interior design principles, holistic and spiritual design, we can cultivate an environment that supports our spiritual well-being. This article explores the multifaceted approach to spiritual space design, incorporating elements from these diverse disciplines. Traditional Interior Design: Traditional interior design principles provide a solid foundation for creating functional and aesthetically pleasing spaces. Some key considerations include: a. Space Planning: Effective space planning ensures optimal flow and functionality within a room. Designing areas for specific purposes, such as meditation corners, prayer spaces, or yoga studios, allows for dedicated areas to support spiritual practices. b. Color Psychology: Colors can significantly impact our emotions and energy. Choose colors that resonate with your spiritual intentions, such as calming blues, energizing yellows, or grounding earth tones. Consider incorporating color therapy principles to enhance the desired atmosphere. c. Lighting Design: Thoughtful lighting design creates ambiance and supports spiritual experiences. Natural light is ideal, but if that's not possible, explore warm and soft lighting options that promote relaxation and tranquility. In the realm of interior design, the concept of holistic space design has gained significant traction in recent years. Unlike traditional approaches that focus solely on aesthetics or functionality, holistic space design takes a more comprehensive and integrated approach, considering the interconnectedness of various elements to create a harmonious and balanced environment. In this blog post, we'll delve into the essence of holistic space design and explore how it goes beyond mere decoration to nurture a sense of well-being. Understanding Holistic Space Design: Holistic space design involves considering the entirety of a space, taking into account not only its physical aspects but also the emotional, psychological, and even spiritual dimensions. The goal is to create environments that support and enhance the well-being of individuals who inhabit them. Here are key components that contribute to the essence of holistic space design: Functionality and Aesthetics: Holistic space design integrates both functionality and aesthetics seamlessly. It goes beyond making a space visually appealing; it ensures that every design element serves a purpose and contributes to the overall well-being of the occupants. Balance and Harmony: Achieving balance and harmony is at the core of holistic design. This involves a careful consideration of proportions, color schemes, and the arrangement of elements to create a cohesive and balanced atmosphere. Biophilic (nature-based) Design: Holistic space design often incorporates biophilic elements, bringing nature into the built environment. This can include the use of natural materials, ample natural light, indoor plants, and other elements that connect occupants with the natural world, promoting a sense of tranquility and connection. Sensory Considerations: Engaging the senses is crucial in holistic design. This involves considering the tactile, olfactory, and auditory aspects of a space. The choice of materials, textures, scents, and even ambient sounds can significantly impact the overall experience within a space. Energy Flow: Holistic design takes into account the flow of energy within a space, drawing inspiration from principles like Feng Shui. Ensuring a smooth and unobstructed flow of energy contributes to a sense of balance and well-being. Personalization and Identity: Spaces designed holistically reflect the identity and preferences of the individuals who inhabit them. Personalization adds a layer of comfort and emotional connection, fostering a sense of belonging. Spiritual Design: Spiritual design focuses on creating spaces that nourish the soul and foster a deeper connection with our higher selves. Some key elements of spiritual design include: a. Meaningful Symbolism: Incorporate symbols and objects that hold spiritual significance to you. This could include sacred geometry, religious icons, spiritual artwork, or statues. These elements serve as reminders of our spiritual journey and facilitate a sense of connection. b. Nature Integration: Bring the healing energy of nature indoors. Include plants, flowers, or a small indoor garden to infuse the space with life-force energy. Use natural materials like wood, stone, or bamboo to establish a harmonious and grounding environment. c. Mindful Arrangement: Arrange furniture and objects mindfully, considering their energetic impact. Avoid clutter and create a sense of openness. Pay attention to the flow of energy in the space, ensuring that it feels balanced and harmonious. Space Cleansing and Clearing: Space cleansing and clearing practices are essential to remove stagnant or negative energies and create a fresh, vibrant environment. Some techniques to consider are: a. Smudging: Use smudge sticks, such as sage, palo santo, or herbs, to purify the space. Light the smudge stick and allow the smoke to cleanse the room, paying particular attention to corners, doorways, and windows. b. Sound Healing: Employ sound tools like singing bowls, bells, or chanting to clear stagnant energy and promote positive vibrations. Sound can break up energetic blockages and create a harmonious atmosphere. c. Energetic Clearing Rituals: Develop personalized rituals that resonate with you. This could include visualization exercises, prayers, or affirmations to release negative energy and invite positive, uplifting energy into the space. Feng Shui: Feng Shui, an ancient Chinese art and science, focuses on harmonizing energy flow within a space. Incorporating Feng Shui principles can enhance the spiritual atmosphere of your home. Consider the following: a. Bagua Mapping: Use the Bagua map to identify different areas of your home and their corresponding energies. Place spiritual objects, such as crystals, wind chimes, or mirrors, strategically in alignment with the Bagua areas to activate specific intentions. b. Furniture Placement: Arrange furniture to promote balanced energy flow and support the activities you wish to engage in. Ensure that pathways are clear and that furniture placement fosters a sense of ease and comfort. c. Five Elements: Incorporating the five elements of Feng Shui—water, wood, fire, earth, and metal—can bring harmony to your spiritual space. Integrate these elements through colors, materials, and decor items to create a balanced and energetically rich environment. Creating a spiritual space involves a holistic approach that combines traditional interior design principles, spiritual design concepts, space cleansing and clearing techniques, and the wisdom of Feng Shui. By incorporating these various disciplines, we can design spaces that support our spiritual well-being, foster a deeper connection with ourselves, and promote a sense of harmony and balance. Whether it's through mindful arrangement, meaningful symbolism, space cleansing rituals, or the integration of Feng Shui principles, spiritual space design enables us to create sanctuaries that nurture our souls and facilitate our spiritual journeys. Holistic space design transcends the conventional boundaries of interior design, embracing a more profound understanding of how our environments impact our well-being. By integrating functionality, aesthetics, and a consideration of the emotional and sensory experiences, holistic design seeks to create spaces that not only look good but also feel good. As we continue to recognize the interconnectedness of our physical and mental well-being, the importance of holistic space design is poised to grow, shaping the way we approach the creation of living and working environments. • 9 Ways to Conquer the Fear of Change

Change can be a scary thing. When you make a change in your life, you bring yourself into the unknown. You travel from a safe place to one where you don't know exactly what will happen. The truth is, there is nothing you can do to stop change. This world is always changing - sometimes for good and sometimes not. The best thing you can do for yourself is to learn the best ways to adapt to change. You'll soon learn that there's no reason to fear! Here is a list of strategies to conquer your fear of change: 1. Think Positive Thoughts and Different Possibilities. When you embark on a change in your life, think it through in a positive way. Instead of thinking about what could go wrong, picture it all going right or better than expected! 2. Learning Life Lessons. Think about some of the past changes you've gone through in your life and include both the positive outcomes and the negative ones. Regardless of your past, it's likely that you've learned an important life lesson. Yet, if you keep your life stagnant, you'll lose out on the many important life lessons and experiences. 3. Write Your Thoughts Down. Writing down your innermost thoughts can provide a similar release as confiding with a close friend. Change can be scary, but if you provide yourself with a way to conquer the fear, you can find the courage underneath. 4. Try Hypnosis. Hypnosis and self-hypnosis techniques have been known to help when we need to alter our thinking. Hypnosis can help you relax by feeding you transformative thoughts. 5. Positive Motivation. If you want to get over your fear of change, you have to actually want the change. If you do, you'll do whatever it takes to get motivated. You can do this by reciting affirmations, writing directions down for yourself, or asking a trusted friend or family member for help. 6. Stay in the Present. Staying in the present moment can help you conquer any fear. It's far too easy for your mind to get caught up with regrets about the past or worries about the future. In moments of self-doubt, focus only on whatever you're doing at the moment. This moment is all you have, so you might as well enjoy it! 7. Break Down the Change. If you're planning a big change in your life, perhaps it will help to break down the change into a series of smaller steps. Doing so will help you to feel less overwhelmed if you can easily transition into a change instead of feeling shocked and scared. 8. The Right Time. Remember that it's always the right time to change. Don't make excuses for yourself. Believe that you can do it and go for it! 9. The Back Up Plan. When you embark on a path of change, it may be the unknown that scares you most. If possible, carefully plan through your change. Think about all the possible scenarios and outcomes - positive or negative - then make a plan. When you have a plan, you'll ease your fears of the unknown and feel at least a little more comfortable with the change. Change for the Better Change is going to happen, so you might as well learn how to go with the flow and learn how to let go. Sure, this is easier said than done, however, learning how to better adapt to change can improve all aspects of your life! Join my list now Wishing You Wholeness

  • The Mystical World of Tarot: Unveiling the Misunderstood Spiritual Tool

A Simple Introduction to Tarot Cards Tarot cards have fascinated, intrigued, and sometimes confounded humanity for centuries. These intricate decks of cards, each adorned with vivid imagery and symbols, have found their place in the realm of spirituality, divination, and self-discovery. However, despite their enduring popularity, tarot cards remain one of the most misunderstood spiritual tools. This blog post aims to demystify the enigma of tarot, explore its history and types, and clarify the differences between tarot and other spiritual tools. I came to use Tarot cards quite reluctantly. I was offered an all-cash gig for a corporation, but I could not use any of my other oracle tools or handwriting analysis; it had to be Tarot cards. There and then, I had to confront my hesitation. It was deeply embedded in both my conscious and subconscious, even with my academic background, that Tarot cards were dangerous and could lead to negative spiritual consequences that would cause real harm in someone's life, akin to a spirit board (like Ouija). However, at the time, I needed the cash and decided to use my research skills to dig a little deeper into what Tarot cards actually are. After many years, clients, and research here’s what I found. A Glimpse into Tarot's Endurance The history of tarot cards can be traced back to the 15th century, originating in Europe. Some link its original use to Italy. There are even rumors that playing cards for created based on the Tarot deck. Today, tarot cards are still widely used for introspection, gaining insight, and seeking guidance in various aspects of life and what many people call “fortune-telling”. Personally, I don’t do or suggest fortune-telling. Put simply it is interfering with a person’s free will. That is a big no-no. You may see different paths up ahead, currently or in the past and share those but always allow life to unfold according to a person’s ability to use empowered choices for themselves. It is true that is not what many people want. They want definitive answers on certain issues such as, Who is my soulmate? or is my partner cheating on me?, Will I get fired?, and so on. But even if you do see anything specific, there are many (too many to mention) factors at play that can influence anything unfolding in each of our lives. It is best to present information and let the elegant dance of fate and destiny unfold according to each person’s choices. The reason behind tarot's enduring popularity can be attributed to the power they hold. When used correctly, tarot cards can provide profound insights and assist individuals in navigating life's challenges. But what sets tarot apart from other spiritual tools, such as oracle cards? Tarot vs. Oracle Cards: Understanding the Difference Structure and Symbolism: Tarot cards consist of 78 cards, divided into the Major Arcana (22 cards) and the Minor Arcana (56 cards). Each card has its unique symbolism and meaning, making the tarot a complex system that can provide in-depth guidance. Oracle cards, on the other hand, often vary in structure in many creative ways, with each card conveying a specific message. Tradition and History: Tarot cards have a rich history, dating back several centuries. Their structure and symbolism have been well-preserved, and they come with established interpretations. Oracle cards are a more recent development and often have themes, styles, and interpretations that vary widely from deck to deck. Tarot cards are versatile and can be used for a wide range of purposes including: Divination Meditation Self-reflection Decision-making Daily affirmations, and Insights into particular life areas. The one thing that is certain is that there is always something to be learned with Tarot cards. Even if you hear someone is an expert, the discovery of the cards' meanings never really ends. Types of Tarot Cards There are many types of tarot decks, and more are being created every day. Each deck with its unique themes and artistic interpretations. Some of the most popular types of tarot cards include: Rider-Waite Tarot: This is one of the most well-known tarot decks, characterized by its iconic imagery and symbolism. It serves as a foundation for many modern tarot decks. Thoth Tarot: Designed by Aleister Crowley and Lady Frieda Harris, the Thoth Tarot deck is known for its intricate symbolism and esoteric influences. Marseille Tarot: This is one of the earliest tarot decks, characterized by its simple, unillustrated Minor Arcana cards. The Wild Unknown Tarot: A more contemporary deck, known for its stunning and abstract artwork, it provides a fresh perspective on tarot symbolism. Tarot of the Witches: Made famous by the James Bond film "Live and Let Die," this deck draws inspiration from witchcraft and nature. Osho Zen Tarot: Based on the teachings of Osho, this deck offers a more spiritual and meditative approach to tarot. And many more… The Power of Intent and Respect To use tarot cards effectively and ethically, intent is key. Tarot readings should be conducted with a pure heart and a genuine desire to seek guidance or insight. It's essential to approach tarot with respect for the free will of others and to understand that the cards offer possibilities, not certainties. Very importantly, activating one's intuition is vital when working with tarot. The reader's intuition, combined with the symbolism of the cards, can lead to meaningful interpretations. Trusting your inner wisdom can elevate your tarot readings to a more profound level. So why is Tarot Considered a Bad or Evil Tool by Some? Tarot got a bad reputation because of its misuse. As with anything else, if one uses Tarot cards for self-aggrandizement, to conquer others, purely to satisfy one's ego, or to cause harm to anyone or anything, it does indeed become a dangerous tool. Some people may want to use the cards to contact 'spirits.' This is not a good idea at all. Most people are not spiritually advanced enough to dabble with this level of spiritual activity. In this way, Tarot can become what may be considered a tool for opening doors, dimensions, and vibrations that we are not equipped to understand or control. Tarot, at its core, is a tool for introspection, self-discovery, and gaining insight into one's life. It is a mirror to the subconscious, a guide for personal growth, and a source of inspiration. When used with the right intentions, such as seeking guidance, understanding oneself, or helping others navigate life's challenges, Tarot can be neutral at its worst and an invaluable and powerful tool at its best. Tarot cards aren’t going away anytime soon. They are truly an enduring and powerful tool for self-discovery and guidance when used correctly. Their historical significance, complex symbolism, and versatility set them apart from other spiritual tools, like oracle cards. To unlock the true potential of tarot, I highly suggest you approach them with intent, respect, and a genuine connection to their inner wisdom. Whether you're a seasoned tarot enthusiast or a curious beginner, embracing the mysteries of tarot can be a transformative and enlightening journey. Ensure that your pursuit of spirituality does not neglect your physical health or create unnecessary emotional stress. Consult with Professionals: Seek guidance from healthcare professionals and mental health experts when needed. They can help you maintain a healthy balance between your spiritual journey and your overall well-being. Build a Supportive Network: Surround yourself with individuals who respect and support your spiritual beliefs. Positive social connections can reinforce your spiritual journey and enhance your overall wellness. Embrace Diversity: Recognize and respect the diversity of spiritual beliefs and practices. Holistic wellness is inclusive, and there is no one-size-fits-all approach. Embrace the diversity of paths to spiritual wellness. In the pursuit of holistic wellness, it is crucial not to overlook the profound role of spirituality. Spirituality offers individuals a path to finding purpose, meaning, and connection This is the tip of the iceberg, hop on my list... Wishing You Wholeness

  • Control Your Time with 10 Easy Ways

This post includes a worksheet you can download right here There are a lot of things competing for attention these days. Therefore, taking control of your schedule and making time for the things most important to you is essential. Otherwise, you'll end up letting other people and things dictate how you spend your time, and that can be frustrating and even stressful. Most people today juggle work, family, social obligations, and everything in between. It can be tough to keep up, and often your schedule gets the best of you at one point or another. When this happens, you feel put out, exhausted, and possibly even worthless and angry. As a Certified Holistic Life Coach, I can assure you that you don’t have to live like this. First, you must accept that you are in control of your time and schedule -- but only if only you take control. There are plenty of smart ways to take control of your schedule, ensuring that you're making time for the things most important to you. Then, when you do, you’ll be less stressed, more productive, have more free time, and even improve your health, all while experiencing better work-life balance often practiced by those and higher productivity. Here are ten smart ways to take and keep control of your schedule: 1. Keep a Daily Planner and Update it Regularly A daily planner can help you keep track of your commitments and ensure that you make the time for what is truly important to you. It's easy to feel like you're always on the go, never having enough time. But, with a small amount of organization and planning, you can take control of your schedule and create a more balanced life. A daily planner can help track your appointments, to-do items, and goals. It is an effective way to reflect on your day and see where you can make improvements. To make a planner work for you, you’ll want to: Choose the right planner for you Set aside daily time for updating your planner Use your planner to track more than just appointments Review your planner regularly With thought and planning, you can make the most of your daily planner and use it to create a more balanced life. But as you see, it’s imperative that you put everything into your planner and not just work stuff. It is best to schedule the most important things first to ensure your life is heading in the direction you want. 2. Set Aside Specific Times for Specific Tasks When you focus on specific tasks during set periods of time, it can help your work flow more smoothly and avoid double-booking yourself. This method is especially effective when you have upcoming deadlines. By setting a timer, you can ensure that you give each task the attention it deserves. And if you find that you often run out of time, this can help you to be more mindful of how long each task takes so that you can plan your day accordingly. If you work a full-time job, take care of a family, and want to make time for yourself, you can set aside specific times for each of these tasks. For example, you can work from 9 am to 5 pm, spend time with your family from 6 pm to 8 pm, and then have some time for yourself from 9 pm to 10 pm. Of course, this schedule will look different for everyone. But it’s vital to be deliberate about making time for each of these things. Setting aside specific times, you can ensure that you're giving each one the attention it deserves. There will be times stuff comes up that throws off your schedule. But by setting times for each task, you can always get back on track and ensure that everything gets done even when adjusting the plan. Just pay close attention to how often you need to change. If you need to alter too much, you may not be scheduling your time the best way. But for the most part, if you always load the dishwasher and clean the kitchen as you go using a system, every task will feel much more manageable. 3. List Your Priorities and Stick to Them One way to have a better work-life balance is to list your priorities and stick to them. This seems easy, but it can be complicated when you have a lot to do. However, taking the time to figure out what is most important to you will help you avoid getting sidetracked by less important tasks. Be sure to review and update your list regularly to reflect your current priorities accurately. This will help you stay focused on what is most important to you and help you achieve a better work-life balance. For example, if you are a parent who is trying to achieve a better work-life balance, you may have prioritized your time as follows: Health Sleep and rest Life's Work Family Personal time Hobbies/Interests Dealing with challenges You can re-evaluate your priorities if you consistently work late and miss family dinners or important events. Ensure to spend enough time on each of your priorities and adjust accordingly. You don't have to work all the time and miss out on time with your family, friends, or yourself. Sticking to a list of priorities is challenging but trying to achieve a better work-life balance is crucial. When you review and update your list regularly, you will ensure that you stay on track and make the most of your time. 4. Don't Procrastinate Putting the stuff, you need to do off until the last minute is stressful and produces subpar results. However, it's essential to try and complete tasks as soon as possible so you can move on to other things. Sometimes it can be helpful to understand why you're procrastinating. Maybe you need to outsource that task instead of doing it yourself. Maybe you need more education about that task to do it better. The main thing is, if you put the task in your schedule, you should try to do it on schedule regardless of how you feel at the time. Procrastination can be a difficult habit to break, but it's worth it in the long run. When you learn to overcome procrastination, you'll be able to get more done and feel less stressed. Remember, motivation comes after action, not before. 5. Delegate Tasks Whenever Possible You really can't and shouldn't do everything. However, it’s vital to delegate tasks whenever possible. Delegating allows you to get more done in less time and ensures that you build stronger relationships with the people you want to be around most. Here are some tips on delegating to others: Be clear about what you need to be done. The person you're delegating to should know exactly what is expected of them. Choose the right person for the task. Delegate to people who can do the tasks best and have the time to do them. Let go of the need to control it all. It's okay to delegate tasks and then let go of the need to control every aspect of them. Follow up as needed. Check-in with the person you delegated to from time to time, but don't micromanage. Delegating can be a great way to get more done and build better relationships with the people around you. Just remember to be clear about what needs to be done and to choose the right person for the task. And then let go of the need to control everything and follow up as needed. 6. Take Advantage of Technology Technology can be a great time-saving tool if used correctly. For example, setting up automated reminders or using a task management app can help you keep track of your commitments and ensure that you are completing them in a timely manner. However, the challenge is knowing where to start with so many options available. Here are some ideas for busy parents who want to take and maintain control of their schedule to have a happier, more balanced life. Set up automated reminders for important tasks – Try Google Calendar or Todoist.com. Use a task management app to track your to-do list – Try Asana.com, Trello.com, or Todoist.com. Take advantage of technology to save time on mundane tasks – Try IFTT.com or Zapier.com. Make use of productivity tools to help you get more done in less time – Try RescueTime.com. Keep your devices organized and tidy – Unclutter your desk and delete information when you’re done. Technology can significantly assist your quest for a happier, more balanced life. By taking advantage of some of the time-saving tools available, you can free up your time to focus on everything truly important to you. Try different technology that can do the above to determine which software or automation works best for your needs. 7. Avoid Multitasking and Embrace Mindful Uni-tasking Most people are guilty of trying to multitask at one point or another. Whether trying to finish up a work project while also catching up on your favorite TV show or answer a friend's text while you’re in the middle of cooking dinner, falling into the trap of thinking you can handle more than one thing at a time is all too easy. But the truth is that multitasking is more likely to lead to subpar results and increased stress levels. That's because when you focus on too many things at once, your brain can’t give any of them your full attention leading to mistakes, missed deadlines, and even accidents. So how do you avoid falling into the multitasking trap? The best solution is to focus on one task at a time whenever possible. This will help you give your full attention to the task at hand and ultimately help you get better results. There are times when multitasking is unavoidable. For example, if you're a parent, you might have to help your child with homework while also fixing dinner. In these cases, it's essential to be as organized as possible. Make a list of the tasks you need to complete, and then tackle them one at a time. You can also teach your kids the importance of focusing on one task at a time. For example, when doing their homework, they turn off the TV and put away their phone, so their full attention is on their mission. By avoiding multitasking whenever possible and teaching your kids to do the same, you can help them (and yourself) become more productive and less stressed. 8. Take Breaks Did you know that sleeping resets and organizes your brain? When you're sleep-deprived, your prefrontal cortex—the area of your brain responsible for higher-level thinking, such as planning and decision-making—doesn't work either. As a result, sleep deprivation leads to poor decision-making, reduced productivity, and increased stress. Do you know that feeling of being overwhelmed by work? You always think there's too much to do and not enough time. When that happens, it’s natural for your mind to start racing, preventing you from focusing on anything. Regular breaks ensure that you stay refreshed and focused throughout the day. When taking a break, be sure to step away from your work area so that you can fully relax and rejuvenate. Taking a break allows your mind to take a break from all the stress and work tension. The break gives you a chance to relax and rejuvenate so that you can be more focused when you return to work. Schedule breaks before you feel overwhelmed by work, and you’ll increase your productivity exponentially. 9. Simplify Your Life Modern life can be hectic. You are juggling work, family, and social obligations and trying to find time for yourself too. So it's no wonder many folks feel stressed out and overwhelmed. To reduce stress and get more control over your life, you need to simplify. Simplifying your schedule means eliminating unnecessary tasks and commitments and streamlining your schedule. For example, if you're always rushing around trying to get everything done, see if there are any activities you can cut out of your schedule. For example, maybe you don't need to go to that weekly happy hour or volunteer for that committee. Or perhaps you can hire someone to do some of your chores, like laundry or grocery shopping. Simplifying your life can also mean letting go of material possessions. If you're constantly tripping over clutter in your home, it's time to eliminate some of it. Have a garage sale, donate to charity, or just throw out anything you don't use or need. Streamlining your life will give you more time and energy for the truly important things. So don't be afraid to downsize and declutter. Start wearing all black or anything else that makes your daily schedule more controllable. Streamlining and simplifying your life might be the best thing to do. 10. Say No, it's a Necessary Boundary It's easy to feel like you're constantly being pulled in multiple directions. There are always more requests and demands placed on your time than you can accommodate. Learning to say no is vital in taking control of your schedule and avoiding burnout. Saying no doesn't mean you're being selfish or uncooperative. It simply means that you're setting boundaries and priorities. You must learn to be selective about what you take on to focus on the things that are truly important to you. Try these tips to help you say no easier: Be assertive. Don't hesitate or make excuses. Just politely and firmly decline. Be direct. It's okay to be blunt if you need to. There's no need to beat around the bush. Be specific. If you're comfortable doing so, explain why you're saying no. This can help the other person understand and respect your decision. Offer an alternative. If you cannot do something yourself, see if there's someone else who can help. Be prepared for resistance. The other person may not be happy with your decision, but don't let that sway you. Instead, stick to your guns and remain firm in your resolve. Learning to say no is essential in controlling your time and life. By setting boundaries and priorities, you can make sure that you're only taking on what you can handle – and focus on the things that are truly important to you so you can get control of your schedule once and for all. Don't be afraid to ask for help when managing your time. Plenty of resources exist to help you get started on the path to better time management and control of your schedule. When you're feeling overwhelmed, reach out and ask for assistance. When you can take control of your schedule, you’ll enjoy your life more and discover a whole new world of productivity that you didn’t know existed. Getting control of your time and schedule can seem daunting until you break it down into smaller steps. Breaking anything complicated into smaller steps is much easier to accomplish. Start by examining your weekly schedule to identify areas where you can make changes. Then, start making those changes and see how they impact your stress levels and productivity. Your time is precious and won’t regret it. Wishing You Wholeness

  • 5 Empowering Wake-up Rituals (Whenever That Is)

5 Empowering Wake-up Rituals (Whenever That Is) It is not always easy to come up with new Wake-up rituals that will empower you each day so here we have 5 ideas for you that have been proven to achieve good results for others. I encourage you to consider all of these ideas and then choose the ones that you believe will work best for you. 1. Mindfulness Meditation Do you wake up with what seems to be a million different thoughts swirling around in your head? If you do, then don’t worry as this is a pretty common experience with today’s fast-paced living. The problem with this is that these thoughts can overwhelm you and cause your stress levels to elevate and that’s not good. You need to bring calm to your being and get into the moment. Practicing mindfulness meditation will ground you in the moment and provide you with the clarity that you need. It is not difficult to learn how to practice mindfulness meditation. There are many videos on how to do this on YouTube for example. You will be surprised at how quickly you can master mindfulness meditation and then use it every Wake-up to your advantage. 2. Gentle Exercise You must get your body moving when you wake-up. Gentle exercise will help to get your heart pumping and improve your circulation. Simple exercises such as stretches can really make a big difference to your health. Walking is another great form of gentle exercise that has many benefits. Get up earlier in the Wake-up and take a walk. Something that anyone can do is breathing exercises. Go online and find the right exercises for you to do in the Wake-up. 3. Gratitude Expressing your gratitude for the things that you have in your life every day is a very powerful thing to do. It will really set you up for the day. Most people overlook the power that expressing gratitude brings and we strongly recommend that you include this in your new empowering Wake-up ritual. It is a good idea to make 3 different gratitude statements when you wake-up. Think of the people in your life that you are grateful for. If you have a job at the moment then show gratitude for this even if it is not the best job in the world. It helps you put food on the table. Something as simple and so necessary as shelter, water or the air you breathe is an extremely powerful way to show gratitude. Be grateful that you have another day to enjoy and make a difference with. Look around you and be grateful for the things that you have in your life. Express gratitude for your health and your mental well-being. 4. Exercise your Mind Your mental health is as important as your physical health. So, we recommend that you do something each day when you wake up to exercise your mind. Make a commitment to learn something new every day for example. There are puzzles, articles, etc., that you can find online to exercise your mind. Starting the day off with a challenge like this is very empowering. Read a book that will give you a different perspective on life or watch a video on YouTube that will teach you how to do something new. 5. Start and Maintain a Journal If you do not currently use a journal to record all of your ideas and thoughts then the time to start is now. You can use a cheap spiral notepad to get started or a special dedicated one to make it sacred. Write your goals, WHY statement and daily tasks in your journal. Make a journal entry as much as you can. Write down what you want to achieve for the day for example. You can use your journal for your expressions of gratitude as well. Wishing You Wholeness

  • Say Goodbye to Overuse Injuries

Exercise is one of the best things you can do for your body and mind, but it can cause two kinds of injuries. You’ll notice major trauma like a sprained ankle or dislocated shoulder immediately, but other damage builds up over time. Stiff legs or sore elbows could be overuse injuries that usually come from working out too often or too intensely. You may not see any visible signs, but your muscles and skeleton still need healing. Try these tips that will help you stay active and speed up your recovery when you do suffer an injury. Preventing Overuse Injuries: Schedule rest time. Your body grows stronger when you give it adequate time to heal in between workouts. Overuse injuries are a strong message that you need to take a break. Vary your workouts. Repetitive movements put more stress on your body because you keep using the same parts in the same ways. Try alternating exercises. If you’re a parent, keep in mind that children can be especially high risk if they over-specialize in one sport while their bodies are still developing. Change your equipment. Do your running shoes fit? Properly sized gear appropriate for your sport can help keep you safe. Consult a trainer. Precise alignment is another consideration. Study videos or work with a specialist who can teach you how to squat or pitch a softball correctly. Build up gradually. Avoid trying to do too much too soon. Adding 10% a week to your strength exercises, distance, or speed works for most adults. Warm up. Gentle movements prepare your body and mind for what’s ahead. Roll your shoulders and walk around for a few minutes before doing more challenging activities. Stretch your muscles. Complete your workouts by training for flexibility. Target your stiff spots and hold each stretch for a few minutes. Listen to your body. Structural issues or medical conditions can make overuse injuries more likely. Take extra care if you have flat feet or you tore your rotator cuff last winter when you were shoveling snow. Stop doing any activity that causes pain. Treating Overuse Injuries: Take a break. Proper rest is essential for both prevention and treatment of injuries. It’s the first step in the standard RICE formula that you may have heard of. RICE stands for rest, ice, compression, and elevation. Apply ice. Ice packs are most helpful when used early and often. During the first couple of days after an injury, they can dramatically reduce swelling and discomfort. To protect your skin, use a covered ice pack or wrap a bag of frozen peas in a towel. Wrap it up. Elastic bandages also cut down on swelling. Limit their use to no more than 2 days in order to restore the normal blood flow necessary for healing. Elevate the area. Try to keep your hurt arm or leg at or above the level of your heart. Prop them up on a pillow while you’re watching TV or working. Relieve pain. Anti-inflammatory medications like aspirin, ibuprofen, and naproxen may help. They’re available over the counter or in stronger prescription form. Follow the directions on the label and talk with your doctor if your symptoms last for more than 10 days. See your physician. Your doctor can recommend prevention and treatment strategies appropriate for your individual body. Talk with your health care professionals if home remedies aren’t working or you have any concerns. Most overuse injuries can be prevented if you know the signs and take action promptly. Stay fit and active by giving your body the rest it needs and using proper form when you work out. • We All Need Universal Energy, Here's How to Get it

This is a very personal item for me to share. I felt compelled to create and share this simple reminder that there is an infinite life force available to us all. We just need to remember and request it. I have invisible disabilities that leave me bedridden for days at a time sometimes. When I exhausted (pardon the pun) all the regular medical, therapeutic, and alternative remedies and delved into adding something spiritually holistic to my life I found this simple yet miraculous mantra to help me request energy from a higher power. ”Pavan Pavan Pavan Pavan Par Para Pavan Guru Pavan Guru Wahe Guru Wahe Guru Pavan Guru.” It is in the ancient language of Sanskrit. To me, "Guru" is God or Source. But you may use what resonates with you and your healing goals. Pavan can be interpreted as prana or universe energy. The Pavan Mantra for Energy is a powerful Sanskrit mantra that helps to restore energy and revitalize the body and mind. It is a powerful spiritual tool to help combat fatigue, fatigue-related illnesses, and exhaustion. The mantra is said to increase concentration and focus and promote feelings of well-being and calm. It also helps to reduce stress and anxiety while improving overall energy levels. This mantra can be used in meditation, yoga, and other spiritual practices to invigorate the body and mind. How to use: Wherever you are, take a deep breath. Take a few more gentle breaths. Recite the mantra in full out loud or in your mind. You can do this from one to many times or use a timer and do it for 1 minute, 3 minutes, 5 minutes, up to 20 minutes depending on how much time you need or have. You will eventually know how much time you need to say this. Gently watch your breathing and you can stop when you are ready to. Relax and let universal energy regenerate within you. Note: when you need a boost just repeat Pavan, Pavan, Pavan, Pavan at any moment. Here is one of the literal meanings in English: ”The air, the air, the air, the air. The Infinity and beyond the Infinity. The air is the Guru. The air is the Guru. Wha! The Guru is beyond description. Wha! The Guru is wonderful. The air is the Guru.” The Pavan Mantra for Energy is a powerful tool to help you gain the power to live a life of harmony and contentment. With regular practice of this mantra, you can experience a deep sense of inner peace and wellbeing. • Affirmation Mantras for Healing Bite-Sized Program

This is an excerpt of the bite-sized, easy-to-follow program available now, free for a limited time. You can click here and head right over or just enjoy the summary below. What are Affirmations for Healing? Affirmation mantras are positive statements or phrases that are repeated regularly with the intention of influencing one's thoughts, beliefs, and emotions. They are commonly used in the realm of personal development, wellness, and spirituality as a tool for self-empowerment and healing. The underlying principle behind affirmation mantras is the recognition that our thoughts and beliefs have a profound impact on our well-being and experiences. By consciously choosing and repeating positive affirmations, we can reprogram our subconscious mind and cultivate a more positive mindset. Here's how affirmation mantras can be used for healing: Shifting Negative Thought Patterns: Affirmation mantras help counteract negative self-talk and limiting beliefs. By replacing negative thoughts with positive statements, you begin to rewire your mind towards a more optimistic and supportive perspective. For example, if you struggle with self-doubt, you could repeat the affirmation mantra, "I am capable and confident in all that I do." Building Self-Confidence and Self-Esteem: Mantras focused on self-worth and self-love can be particularly beneficial for healing emotional wounds and improving self-esteem. By regularly affirming your value and inherent worthiness, you strengthen your sense of self and cultivate a healthier self-image. Cultivating Gratitude and Positivity: Affirmation mantras can be used to foster a mindset of gratitude and appreciation. By affirming positive aspects of your life, such as health, relationships, or achievements, you invite more positivity into your daily experiences. For instance, you could repeat the mantra, "I am grateful for the abundance of love and support in my life." Enhancing Emotional Well-being: Affirmation mantras can help manage and transform difficult emotions. By consciously choosing affirmations that address specific emotional states, such as anxiety, sadness, or anger, you can shift your energy and promote healing. For example, you might use the mantra, "I release fear and embrace peace within myself." Supporting Physical Healing: While affirmation mantras should not be seen as a substitute for medical treatment, they can complement the healing process. By focusing on positive statements related to health and vitality, you can cultivate a healing mindset and support your body's natural healing mechanisms. To effectively use affirmation mantras for healing, consider the following tips: Choose affirmations that resonate with you personally. The statements should feel authentic and meaningful to you. Repeat your chosen mantras regularly, ideally on a daily basis. This helps to reinforce the positive messages and integrate them into your subconscious mind. Combine your affirmation practice with other healing techniques such as meditation, visualization, or journaling to amplify their effects. Pay attention to your emotions and beliefs as you repeat the mantras. If resistance or negative thoughts arise, acknowledge them without judgment and gently refocus on the positive affirmation. Remember, the full program is available here. Also, healing is a holistic process, and affirmation mantras are just one tool among many that can support your journey toward wellness and personal growth.
