    You normally hear there are two main fear responses but currently, we know of four. Here they are... When we are faced with traumatic, scary, frightening and threatening situations we have certain ways of responding, all with survival in mind. There is no judgement here, the point is we are in a fear-triggering situation we are poised to act in a way, often subconsciously we believe will help us survive. Let's define fear and four other F-letter words here. What is Fear Fear is a natural response to danger or perceived threat. When we feel afraid, our bodies instinctively respond in one of four ways: freeze, fight, flight, or fawn. These reactions are often referred to as the "four Fs" of fear, and they are all different ways that humans have evolved to cope with danger. In this blog post, we will explore each of these four reactions in more detail, including how they work and how they can impact our lives. Freeze Response The freeze response is characterized by a state of paralysis or immobility in response to fear. When we feel threatened, our bodies may instinctively freeze, which can help us avoid detection by predators or other threats. This response can also help us conserve energy and prevent injury in some situations. While the freeze response can be an effective way to avoid harm in some situations, it can also be problematic. When an individual consistently responds to fear by freezing, they may become more vulnerable to manipulation or abuse by others. They may also struggle to assert their own needs and desires, leading to feelings of helplessness, frustration, and anxiety over time. Fight Response The fight response is characterized by a tendency to respond to fear by confronting the threat head-on. This response can be useful in situations where physical strength or aggression is required to protect oneself or others. When we feel threatened, our bodies may produce a surge of adrenaline, which can increase our physical strength and enhance our ability to fight back. However, the fight response can also be problematic. When an individual consistently responds to fear by fighting, they may become more prone to violence or aggression in other situations. They may also struggle to regulate their emotions and control their impulses, leading to interpersonal conflicts and legal issues. Flight Response The flight response is characterized by a tendency to respond to fear by attempting to escape or avoid the threat. This response can be useful in situations where physical distance or safety is required to protect oneself or others. When we feel threatened, our bodies may produce a surge of adrenaline, which can increase our physical speed and enhance our ability to flee from danger. However, the flight response can also be problematic. When an individual consistently responds to fear by fleeing, they may become more prone to avoidance or procrastination in other situations. They may also struggle to face their fears and overcome obstacles, leading to feelings of helplessness and hopelessness over time. Fawn Response The fawn response is characterized by a tendency to respond to fear by attempting to placate or please the threat rather than fighting or fleeing from it. This response can be useful in situations where submission or cooperation is required to protect oneself or others. When we feel threatened, our bodies may produce a surge of cortisol, which can increase our willingness to cooperate and seek social support. However, the fawn response can also be problematic. When an individual consistently responds to fear with fawning behavior, they may become more vulnerable to manipulation or abuse by others. They may also struggle to assert their own needs and desires, leading to feelings of resentment, frustration, and anxiety over time. Chances are that in a fearful situation, we may have to use a mix of these reactions to survive. The four reactions to fear - freeze, fight, flight, and fawn - are all different ways that humans have evolved to cope with danger. While each of these responses can be useful in some situations, they can also be problematic when used excessively or inappropriately. By understanding these reactions and learning to regulate our responses to fear, we can better navigate the challenges and uncertainties of life. Being aware of how we typically respond can help us understand ourselves better. In the end, the main thing is to live through an experience and heal.     We all want happiness, success, and fulfillment. So, what's standing in the way? It's often a matter of mindset, perspective and point of view. Your mindset is how you approach the issues and challenges you face. How you think about these matters affects everything you do, so it's essential to remain positive. With the right mindset, you can rise to any challenge and be in a state of wellness. Here are tips from the experts on shifting your mindset for success. Change the Wording One way to adopt a better mindset is to reframe the wording of what you think and believe. We all have negative beliefs that hold us back. Sometimes, they manifest themselves as negative self-talk. For example, you might say, "I'm not good enough," or "I can't do this." You can adopt a more positive mindset by reframing them: I'm not good enough. -> I'm getting better each day. I can't do this -> I'm learning how to do this. Even something like, "I hate my job," can be reframed to, "I'm doing what I need to do now and transitioning to something better." The first step to reframing is to identify your negative thought patterns. Then, pay attention to the voice inside your head and what it tells you. Other ways to discover your negative thoughts are to journal, practice mindfulness, or seek feedback from people who know you well. Challenge Your Limiting Beliefs You can create an even more lasting effect by challenging your negative thought patterns and demonstrating they're untrue. For example, you can collect evidence that proves otherwise if you feel you're an imposter and not good at what you do. When these negative thoughts appear, you can counteract them with this evidence. Look at results you've gotten before, or seek positive feedback from others. It can also help to look at the lives of successful people. If you feel like you're not successful, it might help to realize that no top performer was born that way. Everyone needed to improve like you're doing now. Improve Your Content Mix You can significantly change your mindset by consuming more empowering content. Find videos, podcasts, and blogs that make you feel inspired. Use content that fires you up and gets you ready to take action. Podcasts are a great way to feel more empowered because you can listen to them while you work, commute, or do things around the house. It's like a voice in your ear inspiring you as you go about your day. Create a Positive Morning Routine What do you do when you first wake up in the morning? How do you spend the first few hours of the day? The way you spend the morning sets the tone for the whole day. So creating a morning routine that makes you feel positive and energized is an excellent idea. Then, you'll approach everything you do with more positivity. Start by deciding what you'll do when you first wake up. Next, choose activities that will help you feel positive, such as light exercise, meditation, a healthy breakfast, reading time, or enjoying content that inspires you. Set Goals Setting goals helps you shift your mindset by focusing on positive future outcomes. When you make goals, you create this future for yourself, choosing what you want and don't want. You know what you're working toward when you have clear and specific goals. Staying motivated is more manageable when you have a bad day or experience a setback. You'll realize that one setback doesn't erase all your progress. Visualize the Future You Want Along with setting goals, visualization helps you focus on the future you want, which brings positivity into your life today. Choose a time in the future and imagine your life and business in as much detail as possible. Use all your senses to visualize what it would be like. You can practice this visualization daily or whenever you need some positivity. This is a great element to add to your morning routine. Express Daily Gratitude Daily gratitude is extremely powerful in creating a positive mindset and sense of abundance. It makes you appreciate all the good you have in your life. The best way to do this is through a gratitude journal. Sit down every day and write down 3 things you're grateful for. In addition to positivity, your gratitude journal will make you more resilient, reduce stress, and improve your mental health. Embrace a Growth Mindset Growth mindset is a perspective that sees human beings as capable of change and growth. It differs from a fixed mindset, which says people can't fundamentally change. Developing a growth mindset will give you a more positive way of thinking. There are many ways to do this, but the most impactful is to reorder the way you see challenges and learning. For example, people with a growth mindset see every experience as a chance for growth. This is particularly the case with challenges, failures, and hard times. Instead, it would help if you understood that whether you succeed or fail, you'll come through your trials knowing more than before. Keep a Journal Keeping a journal is a great way to become more positive. Reflecting on your thoughts and feelings makes you more self-aware, so you can quickly identify negative thoughts or self-talk. Then you can develop strategies to change them. Journaling helps your mindset by allowing you to work through problems and brainstorm solutions in writing. You can then develop action plans to make the changes you need. In fact, Egyptian mummies were often wrapped in linen sheets as a symbol of wealth and status. As trade routes expanded, linen sheets made their way to other parts of the world, including Europe. In medieval Europe, sheets were a luxury item reserved for the wealthy. They were often made of silk or embroidered with intricate designs. It wasn't until the Industrial Revolution that sheets became more accessible to the general population. The mass production of cotton sheets made them more affordable and widespread. Today, there are countless options when it comes to choosing sheets. From cotton to bamboo to linen, there is a material for every preference and budget. High-quality sheets can also have various benefits for your sleep health, such as regulating body temperature and reducing allergens. Types of Sheets Bed sheets come in a wide variety of types and materials, each with its own unique benefits and drawbacks.   • Functional Fragrance and Mood

    I almost lost my scruples when I lost my sense of smell I got covid-19 on December 2022 and when I lost my sense of smell and taste. I was absolutely miserable. Not only did I feel awful in general but the fact that I couldn't use these two senses affected my emotional health because I actively use all of my senses in my self-healing work. One of the things I tried is inhaling two essential oils to restore my sense of smell and worked. I inhaled eucalyptus and rosemary for a few moments. This experience led me to think about the essential oil fragrances I already use in my wellness coaching work and want to share more about aromatherapy as a way to use fragrance functionally. Rather than being used solely for aesthetic purposes, functional fragrances are formulated to provide specific benefits for the user, such as improving mood, reducing stress, increasing focus, or promoting relaxation.     No article or post can adequately explain such a vast subject as spirituality. But here I'll just touch the tip of the iceberg and you can take it from there.     Do you know the difference between an essential oil fragrance and a fragrance done with fragrance-grade oil? I learned as I was working on how to create special blends for special purposes in my wellness work. I know using our senses on purpose goes a long way in creating not only well-being but awareness and an awakening of our body mind and spirit. Let me share with you what I learned (and keep learning) and how you can benefit from both therapeutic-grade essential oils and fragrance-grade oils. Essential oil sprays and fragrance oil sprays are both used to add scent to a room or a person, but they are made from different types of oils and have different properties. Essential oil sprays are made from natural plant extracts that are distilled from leaves, flowers, and other parts of plants. These oils are highly concentrated and contain the natural aromatic compounds of the plant. Essential oils are often used in aromatherapy to promote relaxation, improve mood, and provide other health benefits. They come in both therapeutic grade and fragrance grade. The term "therapeutic grade" essential oils are highly concentrated plant extracts that can have therapeutic properties when used properly. The quality and purity of essential oils can vary widely depending on factors such as the plant source, production methods, and storage conditions. To ensure that you are using high-quality essential oils, it's important to choose a reputable supplier that provides information about the sourcing and testing of their products. Look for essential oils that are labeled as 100% pure and are extracted using methods such as steam distillation or cold-pressing.
